Required:
Bachelor of Science in English, Journalism, business, or a technical discipline (e.g., Information Systems, Applied Science, Operations Research) or equivalent directly related experience
7-10 years of business or technical writing experience
Experience reviewing and modifying existing technical practices, policies, procedures and documentation
Experience creating technical documentation such as user guides, technical guides, templates, training materials, etc.
Experience developing and managing technical documentation review process steps
Experience researching tools, procedures, and technical configurations
Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) products and shared receptacles such as SharePoint and Wiki
Experience with document management (e.g., Adobe, OpenOffice, WinHelp, HTML, etc.) and documentation creation and editing tools (e.g., Snagit)
Experience with defect management and change/configuration management tools
Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and collaboration/training skills
Excellent project management skills; as well as proven ability to train, guide and mentor less experienced/knowledgeable writers and staff as needed
Interview and collaboration skills to obtain information for documentation, etc.

Skills:
Ability to work independently and effectively in small teams is necessary as, must work overtime when necessary and be able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsible for review and modification of existing documentation data, including but not limited to guides, manuals, plans, policies, procedures, test scenarios and external, Plan-facing documentation from Quality Development. Responsible for QD documentation management and creation of DM templates, policy, procedures, processes, and training.
Creates new document templates to be shared across the FEPOC. Reports errors through a structured defect tracking process. Communicates weekly with management verbally and via written detail status report regarding potential problems and concerns.
Develops and maintains business and technical knowledge through classroom training, testing workshops, reading, and research, etc. Acquire and maintain a working knowledge of testing tools. Expand business knowledge of product benefits, corporate policies, division and department goals and department procedures.
Assists in reviewing and analyzing business and system requirements and specifications for system programs and modules.
Assists and coordinates with customers to resolve issues. Verify satisfaction of internal and external customer requests and obtain information to create further documentation as necessary.
Participates in project work group meetings (internal/external peer reviews, walk through, status meetings, Software Process Improvement, JAD sessions etc.)
Initiates Change Management Records (CMRs) or Care First Information Technology Tacking System (CITT) requests for necessary system changes or enhancements.
